Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience for a full-time day shift contract position.

Details

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week on day shift
  • Performs a variety of technical nuclear medicine procedures for diagnosis and treatment, including routine and emergency cases

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, or equivalent education
  • MIRT certification required
  • BLS required
  • One year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
  • Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years
  • Active state license required, if applicable
  • Two manager references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs radionuclide imaging procedures, sets appropriate technical factors, enhances images, and duplicates all images to hard copy
  • Coordinates and schedules patients for both routine and emergency procedures, and obtains additional clinical history from patients and ordering physicians as needed
  • Responsible for notifying the Radiation Safety Officer of any leaks or spills and taking appropriate steps to isolate and contain contamination
  • Works under the administrative direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Radiation Safety Officer, with clinical direction from Radiologists
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
