Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience and C-arm proficiency for an evening shift contract role.
Details
- Diagnostic X-Ray position in a hospital setting covering ER, inpatient, and outpatient procedures
- 8-hour evening shifts on a non-set schedule
- Every third weekend required
- No call requirement
- Preferred experience with GE Mobiles and GE Rooms
- Epic EHR and PACS experience preferred
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience
- C-arm experience required; OR/Surgery experience preferred
- ARRT certification and registration required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- State license required if applicable
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems preferred
- Proof of address and a supervisory reference required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform radiographic procedures including fluoroscopic and specialized radiography, applying radiation protection principles in accordance with ALARA
- Responsibilities include patient positioning, image quality evaluation, documentation of patient dose exposures, and pre/post procedure documentation
- Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures and applies aseptic surgical technique as needed
- Administers or prepares medications and contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
- EKG knowledge is beneficial ā a pass/fail EKG test is administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
