Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience and C-arm proficiency for an evening shift contract role.

Details

• Diagnostic X-Ray position in a hospital setting covering ER, inpatient, and outpatient procedures
• 8-hour evening shifts on a non-set schedule
• Every third weekend required
• No call requirement
• Preferred experience with GE Mobiles and GE Rooms
• Epic EHR and PACS experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience
• C-arm experience required; OR/Surgery experience preferred
• ARRT certification and registration required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• State license required if applicable
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
• Experience with Radiology Information Systems preferred
• Proof of address and a supervisory reference required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform radiographic procedures including fluoroscopic and specialized radiography, applying radiation protection principles in accordance with ALARA
• Responsibilities include patient positioning, image quality evaluation, documentation of patient dose exposures, and pre/post procedure documentation
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures and applies aseptic surgical technique as needed
• Administers or prepares medications and contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• EKG knowledge is beneficial — a pass/fail EKG test is administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
