Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; must be issued by AHA or RQI
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Candidates with less than 2 years of Med/Surg experience must pass a competency test (2 attempts allowed); candidates with 2 or more years are exempt from testing
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Any time off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• More than 3 call-outs during the contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
