Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and a day/night rotation schedule.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within a large academic medical center
• Patient population requires intensive neurological care, including intracranial pressure monitoring and ventilator management
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1-2
• 3x12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), totaling 36 hours per week
• Shift rotation occurs every 4 weeks — final schedule details will be confirmed by the manager during the interview
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
• Epic EMR experience
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred

• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
