Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a multi-specialty ICU position at a Level II Trauma Center in Green Bay, WI, requiring at least 3 years of ICU experience and proficiency with vents, CRRT, and vasoactive drips.

Details

• Multi-specialty ICU setting within a 167-bed hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity facility, Primary Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• High-acuity patient population including neuro, post-cardiovascular surgery, medical, surgical, and trauma ICU cases; CRRT performed on unit
• No pediatric, burn, or transplant patients
• Contract staff may not be assigned to post-cardiovascular recovery, CRRT, or neuro patients without the required special competencies
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 36-bed ICU unit
• 12-hour day shifts, 7am start, 36 hours per week
• Every other or every third weekend rotation depending on unit need
• One on-call shift required per six weeks
• Floating required to designated units
• Holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required; Alaris and Pyxis also in use

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Proficiency with trachs, vents, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, procedural recoveries, and temporary pacemakers required
• COVID vaccination required
• Professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year required for consideration
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit support includes CNAs (1:12 ratio), a charge nurse without a patient assignment, centralized telemetry monitoring with a tech, bedside monitoring, 24-hour intensivist coverage, mid-level coverage, a full-time ICU educator, and a CV coordinator
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Free parking is available outside the inpatient entrance
• First-time travelers are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
