Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract in Kansas City, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IR and scrub experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department in an academic hospital setting
• Unit focuses on neuro and light body cases such as drains, lines, and GT tubes
• Operates 4 rooms with an average of 7-8 light neuro cases and 2 IR cases per day
• Equipment includes Siemens Artis systems (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee) — single-plane only, no biplane functionality
• Day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Late call required from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, potentially as frequent as once per week depending on rotation and need
• No weekend requirements
• May float to the Bell IR unit

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR experience with scrub experience required
• 3+ years of IR experience preferred, along with large hospital experience and peripheral and neurovascular experience
• ARRT (Radiography) certification required and must be in hand
• Kansas State license required if applicable (can be applied for once offered)
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• New graduate travelers will not be considered for this position
• Orientation is held every Monday and Tuesday, with an additional nursing orientation required Wednesday through Friday on a bi-weekly schedule
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate, with the exception of candidates located within 60 miles of the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend campus

• Holidays falling on a scheduled workday are not required; the subsequent pay period will be reduced by holiday pay hours
