Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability.
Details
- Work in a 36-bed CVICU at a hospital setting
- Targeted patient ratio of 1:2
- Works with telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilators
- Shift: Nights, 7p–7:30a (4x12-hour shifts); both 36- and 48-hour weekly contracts available
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Travelers are first to float at the health system's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters
- Floating may include multiple campuses within approximately 15 miles of the main campus
- EPIC experience required
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license (not required to be in hand at time of signing)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
- Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
- Experience with A-lines, ventilators, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted at the time of initial application; no RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion
