Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring pediatric experience and night shift availability on an 8-week contract.

Details

Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a pediatric hospital
Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults with cardiac disease
Cares for intubated and ventilated patients
Experience with inotropes and vasoactive medications required in this setting
Manages central lines, arterial lines, and PIVs with standard CLABSI reduction protocols
Possible exposure to Berlin Heart and HeartMate ventricular assist devices
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with the expectation to transfer and admit patients within the same shift
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
Floating to PICU as needed
8-week contract

Requirements

Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Pediatric nursing experience required
Two professional references required for consideration
Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide cardiovascular critical care nursing to a complex pediatric and neonatal patient population
Role involves managing high-acuity patients including those on advanced cardiac support devices
