Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 18 months of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a large 900-bed acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ.

Details

• Radiology department at a large 900-bed acute care hospital
• 5x8 hour shifts per week, AM shift with 2:00 PM–10:00 PM on-call every other weekend
• OR experience required, as technologist must be comfortable performing imaging in the surgical setting
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Epic EMR used for charting
• GE imaging equipment used

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• Active NJ State RT License required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification and BLS
• Experience with GE imaging equipment
• Proficiency with a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Must be able to work independently in a large, fast-paced acute care environment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain equipment, assess safety, and ensure the physical and physiological comfort of patients throughout procedures
• Monitor and coordinate daily imaging procedures and identify needs for procedural revisions
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before beginning a new assignment at this facility
