Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer (Pediatrics) for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Blended pediatric and adult echo department within an acute care hospital — not a standalone children's hospital, so some adult scanning is required
- 554-bed Level I Trauma, Magnet teaching hospital
- Procedures include echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, bubble studies, TEE, pericardiocentesis, Impella checks, and contrast studies
- Charting performed in Epic
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Must be flexible to work all scheduled days — block scheduling is not accommodated
- 24–48 hours of weekend/night call required per week
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech
- Current BLS, ARDMS/CCI, and OBMI certifications required
- Epic experience required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to perform both pediatric and adult echocardiography
Additional Information
- Perform echocardiograms and apply cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures based on anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic findings
- Enter preliminary data and interpretations into the electronic health record (Epic)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Scrub color policy: any color except all-black, dark green, or camouflage
- COVID vaccination card required with no exemptions accepted
- No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per assignment; finalized RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
