Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital position requiring at least 3 years of experience and Level I trauma circulator experience, with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds
• Scrub-to-patient ratio is 1:1
• Must have circulator experience in the OR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
• 2–3 weekend shifts required per month
• On-call is required; call requirements consist of 24–36 hours per month (details can be discussed with OR leadership)
• No floating outside of the OR unit
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Purple scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available on site

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Current BLS certification required; RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Circulator experience required
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider for medical exemptions

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval
• Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark at this facility must take a 6-month break before returning
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
