Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in an acute care hospital setting in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting (44-bed unit)
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Patient ratios of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 on both days and nights
• CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio; CNAs may also serve as sitters
• Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
• Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Charting done in MEDITECH; experience preferred but not required
• 17-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both must be issued by the AHA
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care specialty experience
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (as verified by the address on their driver's license) to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general and EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue
• Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
