Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital, requiring AWHONN fetal monitoring certification and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Unit has 4 L&D beds and 5 postpartum beds
• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with 12-hour shifts as needed
• Primary shift length is 8 hours on nights
• Neonatal monitoring is a core component of this role
• EMR: Epic
• Floating is limited to a sitter or helper role only — travelers are never assigned an independent float assignment; available float units include Med-Surg, ICU, and ED
• 13-week contract with a cancellation policy of 1 shift every 4 weeks

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or a Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include neonatal monitoring and care for laboring and postpartum patients
• No orientation hours are included with this assignment
• BSN is not required for this position
