Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center
• Surgical specialties include General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Primary circulator role with focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Variable shift position — days/evenings with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts available
• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts (6:30–17:00); Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–6:30)
• On-call required Monday–Friday 21:00–6:30 and Saturday–Sunday 6:30–19:00 and 19:00–6:30
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Circulate surgical cases with a primary focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
• Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, or Burns is preferred
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• No break required between assignments when changing representation
