Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of current SICU experience and a minimum of 2 prior travel assignments.
Details
- Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho-spine, and oncology cases
- Post-surgical patients from trauma, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, and general surgery procedures
- Rotating 12-hour shifts covering day (7A) and night (7P) schedules
- Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating required to areas of like skill set, including other ICUs and IMCs
- EMR: Epic experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Critical Care Certification preferred; trauma course preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience required
- At least 2 prior travel assignments required
- Level II Trauma Center or comparable large facility (500+ bed) experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration

- Provide critical care nursing to a diverse surgical and trauma ICU patient population
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
