Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN for a 13-week travel contract in Crestview, FL, requiring 2+ years of OR circulator experience and robotics proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Role functions as an OR Circulator working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians
• Robotic surgical cases are part of the caseload
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities are required

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross); no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulator experience required
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies are ready, maintaining case timeliness, communicating with patient families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Practice is guided by State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies and procedures
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2+ years of specialty experience is required
