Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Details

• 40-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Zoll defibrillators
• EMR: Medhost
• Night shift: 7PM–7AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
• Floating to other units (IMC, ED) is expected
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Recent acute care experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued)
• Minimum education: ADN
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidate cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Charge nurse and preceptor experience is a plus
• Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toed shoes are not permitted
• Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
