Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele travel position in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 13-week travel contract on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Cares for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Patient diagnoses include acute/chronic respiratory illness, post-op general surgery, post-op GYN surgery, post-op total knee and hip replacements, orthopedics, acute and chronic pain, active GI bleeding, CHF/pulmonary edema, diabetic hyper/hypoglycemic conditions, renal failure, drug overdose, CIWA <7, suicidal ideation, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new onset seizures, and stable COVID
• IV drips administered on the unit include Heparin and TNA
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required between all system facilities
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg Tele and Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
