Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 26-week travel contract at a Level III/IV NICU facility in Portland, ME, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a rotating day/night shift schedule.

Details

• Level III/IV NICU with 51 beds across multiple physical spaces, including a 20-bed Level II NICU and a 10-bed Level II satellite unit
• Rotating day/night shift, 36 hours per week
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers will complete a 2–3 day orientation before assuming independent patient assignments
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during the application process
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
