Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg - Neuro Stepdown position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Neuro Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00), scheduled as 3x12 or 4x12 per week
• Team nursing ratios (discuss specifics with manager during interview)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• 13-week contract
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (3+ preferred)
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• ADN degree minimum required for this position
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requested after an offer is made will not be approved
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
