Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care hospital experience for a 13-week assignment, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting focused on inpatient rehabilitation
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule with variable start times between 7:00–8:00 AM
- Flex start times (9:00–9:30 AM) may occur on Tuesdays and Wednesdays based on shoulder surgery schedule
- Includes a weekend rotation of one weekend day shift per month
- No on-call requirements
- Patient ratio of 1:7–9
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OTR) state license required if applicable
- NBCOT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant acute care experience required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Begin each day with approximately 6–7 scheduled evaluations or reassessments, then respond to new referrals through 1:00 PM
- Collaborate with peers and multidisciplinary therapy team to manage and adapt to changing daily caseloads
- Engage and motivate patients who may be physically or emotionally unwell to participate in rehabilitation
- On-site training available for hospital-based edema management
- Solid-color scrubs required; prints are not permitted, and 10 approved colors are available
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Contract extensions are commonly offered based on mutual fit; conversion to a full-time role is also possible
