Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in the Cardiology department at a hospital in Evanston, IL, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab or Critical Care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• 13-week contract
• Located in Evanston, IL
• Cardiology department — Cardiac Cath Lab unit
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations undergoing cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• OR/IR coverage included in the role
• On-call requirement of every 3rd weekend and at least 16 on-call shifts per 6-week period
• 30-minute on-call response time required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular/Cath Lab setting performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care environment
• BSN preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures, responding rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and ready for use
• Manage case-specific supply and inventory needs to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Collaborate with physicians and care team, providing continuous updates on patient status
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities
