Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience performing a full range of IR and neuro procedures in an inpatient hospital setting.

Details

Inpatient hospital Interventional Radiology unit
Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
Daily caseload of 13–17 cases
Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies including stroke intervention
Uses Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment; Acuson preferred
Epic and McKesson EMR experience preferred
4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Primary and backup on-call rotation covering evenings, nights, and weekends
No float requirement

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Inpatient hospital experience required
Neuro IR experience required, including stroke intervention
Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
Experience with Siemens and Philips x-ray equipment required
Current BLS and ARRT certification required
ARRT advanced certification preferred
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Perform a full range of body and neuro IR procedures, including stroke intervention
Orientation is held during the first week; candidates must be available for classes each day of orientation
Outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital, and ablation experience are preferred
Local candidates are accepted
Scrubs provided
