Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract at a Level III Trauma facility, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
Details
- Level III Trauma hospital with 286 staffed beds
- MRI department setting
- Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
- On-call rotation is required among staff members; call hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 5:30 AM, and weekends from Saturday at 5:30 AM through Monday at 5:30 AM
- Weekend shifts may be required when on call
- No floating required
- Charting system is Epic
- Philips MRI equipment experience required
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA only), and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Proficiency with Philips MRI equipment
- SC license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Scrub colors are black pants and teal top
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any facility within this health system must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
