Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at a hospital in California, with the ability to float between inpatient, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.

Details

• Hospital-based position within the Physical Therapy Inpatient Rehab unit
• Ability to float between inpatient, acute rehab unit (ARU), and outpatient rehab as needed
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 5x8-hour shifts
• Work week runs Friday through Tuesday
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA PT license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program required
• Experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings required
• CA license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and address disabling conditions
• Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team members and support staff
• Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former employees of this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the assignment
• 2 supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
