Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR position requiring at least 1 year of experience and flexibility across multiple surgical service lines.

Details

Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
Surgical service lines include General, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, and others — flexibility across multiple specialties required
Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
On-call participation required as scheduled
13-week contract

Requirements

Active RN license — SC or Compact license required
Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
Current ACLS certification (AHA only)

Additional Information

Responsibilities include circulating duties, prepping the OR, patient positioning, and completing Safe Surgery verification checklists
Serves as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
Delegates and supervises activities of other team members while managing urgent or emergent situations as needed
Utilizes sterile field protocols and appropriate safety equipment for both patient and staff protection
Proficiency with computer programs used in patient care delivery is expected
