Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications for a 13-week day shift assignment.

• Day shift schedule
• Radiology department with a dedicated women's health/breast imaging section
• Cross-training into other modalities including CT, MRI, and DEXA may be required
• Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS electronic records systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in both Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
• Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for the daily operation of the women's health section of radiology, including quality assurance, preventative maintenance scheduling, and adherence to FDA mammography guidelines
• Maintains structured reporting systems for audit reporting, statistical tracking, and workflow resolution
• Reviews and documents patient medical history, obtains informed consent, and ensures all required documentation is available prior to radiologist interpretation
• Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities and covering call or holiday shifts as needed
• Assists with training and cross-training of imaging staff members as directed
• Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA standards
