Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting in the MRI department
  • Ability to float between West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed
  • Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts (11:30 AM–8:00 PM, Mon–Fri); on weeks that include a Saturday shift, four weekday shifts (11:30 AM–8:00 PM) plus one Saturday shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are worked
  • No on-call requirement
  • Charting is done in Epic
  • Teal top and black pants scrub colors required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • A radiation badge must be provided by the candidate or agency prior to start — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration — approval is based on manager and unit needs
  • Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
  • During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; candidates should be aware of this expectation before accepting an assignment during this period
