Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Details

Outpatient clinic setting in the MRI department
Ability to float between West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed
Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts (11:30 AM–8:00 PM, Mon–Fri); on weeks that include a Saturday shift, four weekday shifts (11:30 AM–8:00 PM) plus one Saturday shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are worked
No on-call requirement
Charting is done in Epic
Teal top and black pants scrub colors required

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
A radiation badge must be provided by the candidate or agency prior to start — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration — approval is based on manager and unit needs
Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; candidates should be aware of this expectation before accepting an assignment during this period
