Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience for a home health position serving geriatric patients in Alameda County, CA.
Details
- Home health setting serving geriatric patients in Alameda County, with potential coverage in surrounding counties as discussed during the interview
- Case types include general home health, wound care, and geriatric home health
- Minimum of 23–24 visits per week required
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00–17:00), no weekends required
- On-call is not required; any on-call would be discretionary
- Charting is completed using Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be done on-site and cannot be taken home
- A facility-provided tablet is used for charting
- Contract length is 4–6 months; less experienced clinicians are required to complete a 6-month contract (non-negotiable)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience as a PT required
- Active state PT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are accepted
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial application; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made
- Compliance onboarding may take 2–3 weeks; all required documents must be completed before seeing patients
- COVID vaccination is required; religious declinations are accepted. Flu vaccination declinations are permitted with a signed declination
- Any color scrubs and closed-toe shoes are required
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (not to/from home)
- Free residential parking is available
- Ideal candidates are patient-care focused, punctual, self-motivated, and diligent with charting
