Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT or RCIS certification for a cardiac catheterization lab position in the Toledo, OH area.
Details
- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab setting
- Patient population ranges from adolescent through geriatric
- Structural heart and endovascular cases are part of the case mix
- Shifts are 9, 10, or 12 hours with start times ranging from 7:00/7:30 AM and end times varying through 7:30 PM depending on shift length
- 36 or 40 hours per week available
- On-call requirement averages 1 day per week and every 4th weekend (Friday–Sunday)
- May be required to float to satellite locations as needed
- Philips and McKesson EMR experience preferred
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Vocational/Technical Degree in RCIS, Radiology Technology, or an accredited Electrophysiology program required
- Must be able to recognize normal and abnormal ECG rhythms and monitor multiple data sources simultaneously
- Must be able to calculate drug dosages and administer medications appropriately
- Ability to lift and position patients as needed
- Proof of address required for consideration (e.g., driver's license, voter registration card, federal tax return, military Form 2058, or W2 from U.S. government)
- 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Assist with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and ablation procedures including equipment calibration, patient prep, and operation of monitoring and recording devices
- Collect and analyze diagnostic data during procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac abnormalities
- Maintain a radiologically and electronically safe lab environment, including proper use of PPE such as lead apron and thyroid shield
- Manage lab supplies using FIFO inventory practices and support accurate procedure billing
- Structural heart and endovascular experience is a plus
- Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
