Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment, working night shifts with every-other-weekend requirements and a minimum of one year of PCU experience.

Details

Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
Every other weekend required
No on-call responsibilities
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

Active Georgia (GA) or Compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or equivalent experience required
Current certifications must be on file and available for consideration
Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off for approval
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
No scheduling requests are permitted outside of the RTO policy
