Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and availability for night shifts with every-other-weekend coverage.

Details

Intermediate Care (IMC) unit in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
Every other weekend (EOW) required
Holiday coverage required, including working 1 of 2 upcoming holidays and surrounding days (e.g., Memorial Day or July 4th)
Floating to the rehab unit may be required as needed
Epic EMR experience required
May care for COVID-positive patients

Requirements

Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Epic EMR proficiency required

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to determine fit before manager review; manager will conduct an interview
RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the assignment
Tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
Local candidates are accepted

Loved the people! Found them really easy to work with and they have a lot of very knowledgeable staff members. As long as you know what you’re doing and willing to help out in any way they are more than happy to work with you!

Cons

Sometimes the schedule can be confusing with rotating shifts and call schedules that don’t align well with your scheduled shifts. But again if there is a major concern they’ll try and work with you on it!
