Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3-5 years of ER experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) setting serving both adult and pediatric populations
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• Key clinical skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV insertion, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3-5 years of ER nursing experience required
• Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency patients required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
