Description

American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in North Carolina.

Details

Hospital-based MRI department
Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients is preferred
Required imaging skills include abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MR, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, and CINE
Preferred imaging skills include chest and image post-processing
GE and Siemens MRI equipment used
Epic EMR used for documentation
3x12-hour night shifts, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
No call requirement
No float requirement
Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Tech experience required
Current BLS and ARRT certification required
License required if applicable
Must be able to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

Royal blue scrubs required
Orientation is held during the first week with hospital orientation classes scheduled 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; full availability is required each day, as missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
Start date is subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers may begin on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the start week and must be fully available with no other commitments
RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office location may occur, with potential reassignment to other units as needed
