Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in both peripheral vascular and neurovascular IR procedures for a Level 1 trauma facility.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based IR department with 4 procedure rooms, including 2 single-plane and 2 biplane Siemens C-arms
- Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke designation
- Two IR techs are assigned per room — one circulates and one scrubs
- Cases include angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, central line insertions, and more
- Proficiency required in both peripheral vascular and neurovascular IR cases
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainages, upper/lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
- Cerner EMR — experience required
- May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of IR technologist experience required
- Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and ARRT certification required
- Indiana state license or Compact license required if applicable
- Ability to scrub both peripheral vascular and neurovascular cases
- Proficiency with Siemens C-arms and fluoroscopy equipment
- Cerner charting experience required
- Degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited institution required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this Allied/IR position
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- 13-week contract
