Description
American Traveler is hiring a Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR specialty experience to support Neuro and Body IR procedures at a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department in an acute care hospital designated as a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center
- Facility includes 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, a dedicated ultrasound room, and a CT procedure room staffed by CT techs
- Outpatient and inpatient procedures performed across adult, geriatric, and pediatric populations with all acuity levels
- Procedures include Y90, TIPSs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stenting, drains, biopsies, LPs, kyphoplasty, line/port placements, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVT interventions
- Utilizes Siemens fluoroscopy units (single and biplane) and Philips ultrasound
- EMR: Cerner PowerChart (preferred, not required); McKesson PACS
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Call requirement of 1–2 days per week and 1 weekend per month; 2 techs on call per shift (primary and backup)
- Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays during the contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of overall experience, with at least 1 year in Interventional Radiology
- Proficiency with Neuro and Body IR procedures using single and biplane radiography units
- Experience with fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Active MO or Compact state license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and perform other physical demands of an active clinical environment
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are eligible but may be offered a reduced pay rate
- Team consists of 5 Body IR physicians, 3 Neurointerventional physicians, and up to 9 IR techs when fully staffed
- Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- Rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather may be required
