Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active CA license.

Details

• Acute care hospital OT unit
• Day shift, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday through Thursday schedule
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, and general medical cases
• Cerner EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active CA OT license required for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care setting experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least one supervisory or director-level professional reference from within the past year on the relevant unit is required
• A second professional reference from within the past 2 years (charge nurse, co-worker, or educator accepted) is also required

Additional Information

• Perform ADL training and adaptive equipment assessments with patients
• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be changed once submitted
• A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
• No blocked or self-scheduling permitted
