Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring strong orthopedic experience and charge nurse background.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical (Ortho) unit of a large regional academic teaching medical center
• Facility is a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 641 licensed beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Agency staff are required to float to other Prisma Health units or campuses as needed based on census; floating is limited to areas where competencies have been documented
• Charting performed in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a large healthcare facility
• Strong orthopedic nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• The hospital offers advanced specialty programs including cardiac care, stroke, vascular services, and an Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit for patients 65+
• For this night shift Med/Surg position, candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus (Prisma Health Richland) to be eligible; candidates under 50 miles are not eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from all Prisma Health facilities to qualify for the full travel pay rate; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
