Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring Cerner charting experience and a minimum of 18 months of Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Inpatient hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Cerner EMR — experience required
• Floating required to other Med/Surg units or an affiliate hospital nearby

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited university required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Local candidates are not accepted for this Med/Surg position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this position (Periop, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule)
• COVID vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions are accepted with appropriate documentation
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO of 5 days or fewer may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been away from the organization for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
