Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 3 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and certifications including TNCC and PALS.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Services department of a 123-bed Level 3 trauma center with 21 ED beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4-12 outpatient overflow beds
• Patient population includes geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric cases
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No floating required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an emergency department setting
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in TNK administration, conscious sedation, chest tube management, and central line care
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least one supervisor-level reference required for initial consideration; a second required prior to start (must be from Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above)
