Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shift, requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience with an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a specialized Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Unit includes 16 LDRP rooms, a C-section Suite, PACU, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery
• Patient population includes laboring and postpartum mothers, newborns, and infants who may experience withdrawal symptoms
• Closed specialty unit — travelers are not expected to float outside of the Family Center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• L&D experience required
• Mother/baby experience required
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit is supported by a preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation specialist
• Facility actively participates in state and national process improvement initiatives, including programs related to neonatal withdrawal, prenatal screening, safe sleep, mental health, and obstetrical sepsis care
• Facility has been a regional leader in implementing evidence-based practices, including the Eat, Sleep, Console program and a validated prenatal screening tool now integrated into Epic nationwide
