Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LTAC/Chronic Care night shift position in St. Louis, MO, requiring vent/trach experience and current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
Details
- Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting in St. Louis, MO
- Assigned to the Chronic Care unit
- Patient population includes complex, critically ill patients requiring telemetry monitoring and ventilator/trach management
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 16-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association only; RQI/RCIS certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or relevant clinical RN experience required
- Vent and trach experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
- Delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must disclose the facility name, dates worked, and reporting manager
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
