Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week travel contract in Waterloo, IA, requiring at least 2 years of hospital-based X-Ray experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting serving outpatient, inpatient, ED, and surgical patient populations
- High-volume department averaging 100–120 scans per day
- Equipment includes Siemens X-ray rooms and portables, and a GE C-arm in surgery
- Epic EMR is used; experience is required
- Afternoon shift schedule on a 7-on/7-off rotation (Wednesday–Tuesday scheduling)
- Weekday hours: 1:30 PM–11:00 PM; weekend hours: 11:30 AM–10:00 PM
- 65 hours billed bi-weekly (37 hours one week, 28 hours the next)
- Holiday rotation required; no on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 months of X-Ray experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and surgical settings required
- Proficiency with Siemens X-ray equipment (rooms and portables) required
- GE C-arm experience in a surgical setting required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Iowa Radiology license required (if applicable); must be obtained during onboarding if not currently active
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include bringing back outpatients and transporting ER patients
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided the 24-month experience requirement is met
- Candidates who were previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible
- Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years is preferred for consideration
- Holiday rotation is required as part of the schedule
