Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an inpatient travel contract in Lawton, OK, requiring at least 1 year of SLP experience and an active Oklahoma state license.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting with potential floating to Outpatient Rehab as needed
• Treats inpatient and outpatient populations ranging from infant to geriatric
• Addresses speech and language disorders, cognitive deficits, voice and fluency problems, and dysphagia
• Multidisciplinary team environment
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Some weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma SLP license or eligibility for licensure (license required if applicable)
• At least 1 year of SLP experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Must be open to floating between inpatient and outpatient rehab settings as needed
• 2 supervisory references taken within the last 2 years
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• ACLS (AHA) preferred
• Experience with neurogenic patients and dysphagia preferred

Additional Information

• Provide full range of diagnostic and clinical services for patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Orientation for Allied and Therapy travelers begins on Tuesdays
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for consideration at a reduced rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
• Recent travel experience preferred
