Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week home health travel assignment with coverage across home health and SNF settings, requiring at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Home health care setting with additional coverage at SNF locations and occasional PTO coverage at a nearby SNF
- Coverage area includes a home health territory and SNF sites in the surrounding region
- Schedule options include M-F, T-Sa, Su-Th, or four 10-hour shifts per week
- 8-hour shifts; day shift
- Mileage and drive time between patient locations is compensated
- Productivity expectations: 82% for SNF (evaluations, group, and concurrent time counted in full); 90% for home health, inclusive of drive time and documentation
- EMR systems used: Net Health and HCHB
- Position requires supervision of up to 2 therapy assistants
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited physical therapy program required
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in a clinical setting
- Active PT license and national registration for the state of practice required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform physical demands of the role including moving, positioning, and operating tools or equipment as required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing clients, developing and implementing therapy plans, documenting observations, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Duties include training clients on programs, adaptive equipment, and other therapeutic interventions
- Therapist will supervise therapy assistants in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations
- A therapy supervisor, clinical specialist, and director are available on-site for support; new graduates will be considered for this position
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may be subject to local pay rates
- If facility-provided housing is used, local pay rates apply
- No on-call or call-back shifts available
- 13-week assignment
