Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active KS or compact RN license.

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with a notably higher proportion of behavioral health patients
• 13-week contract
• Shift hours: 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI/MOAB High Risk training
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and assessing discharge planning needs
• Role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment
• CPI/MOAB High Risk online training must be completed prior to start; on-site portion will be completed during orientation
• Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate eligibility
