Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Telemetry Clinical Decision Unit (Observation) position at a Magnet teaching hospital, requiring PCU experience and strong vasoactive drip skills.

Details

• Position is located in a 2 East Clinical Decision Unit (Observation/MS Tele) within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 332 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Charting is performed using Epic EMR
• Floating is required to all 3 affiliated hospitals within approximately 20 miles (Martin North, Martin South, and Martin Tradition)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Scrubs must be white
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry and/or acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience is required
• Strong vasoactive drip experience is required
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration
• Must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) is required

• 26-week contract; length is non-negotiable
• This is a smoke-free and nicotine-free facility — no exceptions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Time-sensitive online modules must be completed promptly upon assignment confirmation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests added after submission are unlikely to be approved
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
