Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and EKG rhythm interpretation skills for a night shift contract.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Telemetry monitoring skills required for this unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:20 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend nights assignment
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- No on-call requirements
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on the lethal rhythms section
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required
Additional Information
- This facility performs gender affirmation surgery; comfort with this patient population is required, though direct experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays and other holidays occurring during the contract
- Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- May come into contact with COVID-19 patients
- Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to be considered for the local pay rate
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
- 13-week contract

I do not have anything negative other than you need to fight with sone to all9w you gain some admission, emergency and critical patient stabilisation experience since they invade such patients which may leave you hanging while the resuscitation happens.
