Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in New Lenox, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 4 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5–7 on night shift
• Experience with reading monitors, cardiac drips, and post-surgical cases is central to this role
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• 10-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 4 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry RN experience required
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients required
• Required certifications: BLS/CPR (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must be fully COVID vaccinated
• Experience with cardiac drip management and post-surgical patient care required

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and post-surgical case management
• Supervise CNAs/SNAs and other assigned healthcare workers
• Support available from CNAs and certified monitor techs who remotely watch telemetry monitors
• Level II Trauma Center
• Pewter grey scrubs required — traveler must provide their own
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the contract
