Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular Unit position requiring cardiac stepdown experience, night shift availability, and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• 36-bed Cardiovascular Unit in a hospital setting
• Cardiac and neuro stepdown patient population, including cardiac bedside monitoring, cardiac drips, TR bands, post-heart cath patients, stroke/neuro patients, and BIPAP overflow cases
• Patients range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
• Variable staffing model including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; the RN assumes full responsibility for the patient team
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, including management of cardiac drips and post-procedural monitoring
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a modified pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
